Disclosures

Not a lender or broker

Yacht.Loans is an information site. It isn’t a lender, a loan broker or a loan originator. It doesn’t take loan applications, make credit decisions, set rates or terms, or approve anyone for anything. Nothing on this site is an offer of credit or a commitment to lend.

No payment from lenders

We don’t take payment from the lenders, brokers or providers listed here. There are no paid placements and no affiliate links. No lender paid to appear on the lender terms page or in any guide, and being listed isn’t an endorsement.

What happens when you write to us

When you send us your numbers or use the contact form, your message comes only to the company that runs Yacht.Loans. A person reads it and replies by email. It isn’t sent to a lender, broker or marketplace, it isn’t a loan application, and no one checks your credit. The reply isn’t a quote, an approval or an offer. If we ever want to share requests with lenders, we’ll update this page and the privacy policy first, and the form will ask for your consent.

The calculator gives estimates

The calculator works only from the numbers you enter. Its results are estimates for planning, not a loan offer, and they may differ from a lender’s figures because of rounding, fees, payment dates, the way interest is computed or other loan terms. The preset 8.00% APR is a placeholder so the arithmetic has something to work with. It isn’t an offer, a quote or a typical rate. Use the APR from your own written quote. Your lender’s disclosures control.

Example payments in the guides are labeled as examples and state their assumptions. They aren’t offers either.

Lender terms are dated and may change

The lender information on this site was read from each lender’s own website on the date shown, currently October 24, 2026. Lenders change rates, terms and eligibility rules often, sometimes daily, and many of their pages carry no date. Check the lender’s current disclosures before you rely on any figure here. Published rate ranges usually depend on credit, loan amount, term and the boat, and you may not qualify for the rates shown.

Tax figures are state-level only

The sales tax figures and the calculator’s tax rates and caps cover state-level tax only, from each state’s statute or tax agency. County, city and other local taxes are not included. Where a figure is our own arithmetic from a statute, or comes from an older agency document, the page says so. Tax rules depend on where a boat is bought, delivered, kept and registered.

Nothing on this site is tax, legal, investment or financial advice. The guides explain published rules in general terms. For your own situation, talk to a qualified tax professional, attorney or other adviser.

No affiliation

Yacht.Loans is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any lender named on this site, the U.S. Coast Guard, the National Vessel Documentation Center, the IRS, any state agency, or the trade groups we cite (NMLA, SAMS, NAMS and ABYC). Names are used only to identify the source of published information.
