Terms of use
yacht.loans (Yacht.Loans, "we") is an independent website. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
What the site is
Yacht.Loans explains boat and yacht financing: a loan calculator, a record of the terms lenders publish, state boat sales tax rules, Coast Guard documentation steps and guides. We aren't a lender, a loan broker or a loan originator. We don't take loan applications, make credit decisions, set rates or arrange loans, and nothing on the site is an offer of credit.
Information, not advice
The content is general information. It isn't financial, tax, legal or investment advice for your situation, and using the site or writing to us doesn't create an advisory or client relationship. Check decisions with a qualified professional and with your lender's own disclosures.
Calculator results are estimates
The calculator works only from the numbers you enter, and its results are estimates for planning. They aren't a quote or an offer, and a lender's figures can differ because of fees, rounding, payment dates and other terms. The starting values, including the 8.00% APR, are placeholders so the arithmetic has something to work with, not typical or offered rates.
Data sources and dates
Lender terms are as each lender published them on its own website on the date shown, currently October 24, 2026. Tax figures come from each state's statute or tax agency, and Coast Guard fees from the Code of Federal Regulations and the National Vessel Documentation Center, each with its source and date on the page. These figures change, and the source's current version controls over anything here.
What you send us
When you use a form, you're asking us to read your message and reply by email. You agree that what you send is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is yours to send. Please don't send account numbers, Social Security numbers or other ID numbers. How we handle what you send is in our privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Don't use the site to break the law, send spam or harmful code, try to get into systems or data that aren't public, or overload the site. Reading and linking to pages, and automated reading that respects our robots.txt, is fine.
Our content
The text, design, graphics and calculator on this site belong to yacht.loans. You're welcome to link to any page and to quote short passages with a link back. Please ask before republishing anything more. Laws, regulations and government data quoted here are public, and lender names and terms are reported from each lender's own pages.
Links to other sites
We link to lenders, agencies and other sites when they're useful. We don't control them, aren't responsible for them, and a link isn't an endorsement. No lender or other company pays us for a link or a listing.
No warranties
The site is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, about its accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limit on liability
To the extent the law allows, yacht.loans isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses from using the site or relying on it, and our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to US$100. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Indemnity
If you misuse the site or break these terms and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you have a problem with the site, tell us through the contact form first and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.
If we can't resolve it, any dispute will be settled by binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. Claims may be brought only individually, not as part of a class or representative action. You can opt out of this arbitration and class-action waiver by sending a legal notice through the contact form within 30 days after you first use the site, with your name and a statement that you opt out.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and changes apply from that date forward.
